Red wine varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Malbec, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Sauvignon, etc. In addition to a single red wine, there are also blended wines made from two or more grape varieties, with more complex flavors.

Wine begins with grapes; The characteristics of red wine come from the grapes used to make red wine. The nature of grapes determines the quality of wine.

Red grape varieties

Cabernet Sauvignon - a top red grape variety; The bold Cabernet Sauvignon is the starting point for higher quality wines than any other variety. Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium bodied wine with a rich fruity aroma, with aromas of blackcurrant and blackcurrant, occasionally with hints of mint or green pepper. When matured in oak, it also has some notes of vanilla and wood. The best wine is rich, firm, deep, and has the unique taste and aroma of Cabernet.

Merlot - This soft and juicy grape is a producer of medium to full bodied, low tannins, high alcohol, and soft tasting wines, with flavors of plum, blackberry, or tea, and a hint of chocolate; If matured in oak, Merlot wine may have a velvety vanilla flavor.

Barbera - This variety is most popular in northern Italy, with Alba, Asti, and Argentina being the most popular. The wine made from Barbera grapes has a moderate body, soft tannins, and is easy to drink. You can expect a sweet fruit flavor that reminds people of red berries and spices.

Pinnacle - Looking forward to the flavors of blackberry, red currant, and vanilla. Cabernet Sauvignon is mainly grown in Bordeaux, where it is used to blend with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In the Loire River basin, it has been cultivated into various varieties and is the only grape used in some high-quality wines. This grape is the origin of a lighter red wine than Cabernet Sauvignon (a very similar variety). Pinnacle wine is more valuable than Merlot wine.

Carignan - This variety grows in southern France, Spain, and parts of California. The wine made by Jiali has full tannins, deep color, and simple berry flavor.

Sinso - widely grown in southern France and Corsica. This is a light colored grape with a sweet and spicy aroma. Although mainly used for mixing, it has produced a noteworthy variety.

Duozi Peach - Duozi Peach originated in Piedmont, Italy. Duozi peach wine is very easy to drink, bringing flavors of cherry, almond, and red fruits with deep colors. The wine made from Duozi peach grapes is best when young.

Jiamei - a grape with a dazzling cherry flavor and colorful pink purple tones. This wine has a low tannin content and is very suitable for drinking. Jiamei grows in many regions of France and Europe, but shines in Beaujolais.

Grenache, a grape originating from Spain, produces wet, pale, high alcohol cherry and pepper flavor wine. Under suitable conditions, wine can be dark colored, full of fruity aromas and flavors, with a hint of raspberry flavor. This variety is mainly used for mixing. Argentina has some, but it mainly grows in Rioja, Spain, Priola, France, and Cahors in Bordeaux.

Malbec - a vibrant red grape variety with a spicy red berry flavor. It is grown in France and more widely in Argentina, where it is made from dark wine with strong tannins.
